7. Terms of Service
- Hawlt will provide you a virtual address and locker number at a Hawlt facility in India to which mail and merchandise can be delivered prior to export.
- Hawlt's services consist of acting as your agent for consolidation and export purposes — receiving, sorting, packing, and consolidating your merchandise, and arranging export through unaffiliated freight forwarders and carriers. Hawlt does not act as an indirect air carrier, but as your agent as the shipper.
- All packages received by Hawlt may be opened and inspected by our representatives.
- You are responsible for all import and export obligations in the destination country. You authorise Hawlt as your agent to authorise freight forwarders and carriers to conduct customs clearance and entry.
- You accept that freight forwarders and carriers reserve the right to open and inspect every shipment.
- We recommend that you insure the goods handed over for transportation; insurance options are shown during checkout.
- Hawlt shall have a general lien over all consignments of a Member for any dues payable to Hawlt.
- No claim shall be entertained by Hawlt for any loss, shortage, damage, non-delivery, breakage, leakage, or pilferage unless a written claim is lodged within 3 days from the date of the shipment, subject to remarks on the proof of delivery. Hawlt shall not entertain claims arising due to delivery delays.
8. Compliance with Laws
8.1 Export and Import Laws
You represent and warrant that the recipient of any items consolidated by Hawlt is the end user of any merchandise, that the merchandise will be used in the destination country, and that you will not re-export merchandise to a different destination. Hawlt reserves the right to request documents confirming the end use or end user of any item exported through a freight forwarder or carrier.
8.2 Prohibited and Restricted Items

You are responsible for confirming that prohibited items are not sent to Hawlt. Hawlt reserves the right to return packages to senders, provide packages and information to government authorities, or discard packages (including by selling forfeited items with sales proceeds going to charity).
8.3 Prohibited and Restricted End Users and Destinations
Hawlt will not provide services to destinations subject to comprehensive international sanctions or to persons or entities on Indian or equivalent denied-party lists, including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, the Crimean Peninsula, and other regions from time to time restricted under applicable law.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; you agree to their terms. Refund handling is described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Indemnification
You agree to remain liable for and to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hawlt and its shareholders, officers, directors, agents, partners, employees, and independent contractors from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, awards, liabilities, losses (including consequential losses), judgments, penalties, interest, fines, expenses, and other costs (including legal fees) arising from or relating to:

- Hawlt's preparation or execution of documents necessary for transportation, except for claims arising solely from Hawlt's gross negligence or willful misconduct;
- you providing to Hawlt any incomplete or false information; and
- your failure to comply with these Terms or any law applicable to the exportation or importation of shipments.
12. Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY OF THE HAWLT PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOUR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE PLATFORM. IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY OF THE HAWLT PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM, THE CONTENT, OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. WHERE JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW SUCH EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION, THE HAWLT PARTIES' LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO HAWLT IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) USD 100.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE HAWLT PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY SPECIFIC INFORMATION REQUESTED WILL BE PROVIDED, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE FREE OF COMPUTER VIRUSES.

These Terms and all disputes concerning these Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without applying conflict-of-law principles. The parties consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India — unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.
